What was recalled

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Manitex/PM Knuckle Boom Cranes, 3852 series, manufactured January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2014. The affected vehicles have outriggers whose welds may crack causing the outriggers to fail.

What to do

Altec will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the outriggers and repair any cracks found, and install reinforcing collars, free of charge. The recall began on January 8, 2016.
