What was recalled

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain model year 2015 Effer 440 and 470 Knuckle Boom Cranes manufactured January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2015. The affected cranes have pedestals that may crack in the welded area.

What to do

Altec will notify owners and dealers will inspect the pedestal for cracked welds and will replace the mounting bolts for the rotation bearing. The recall began on March 3, 2016.
