Why it was recalled

Recall of Granny Smith Apples from 2014 harvest used in caramel apple production due to their association with Listeriosis outbreak. Expansion of recall on January 6, 2015 to include all Granny Smith and Gala apples in the 2014 Production.

Class I is the FDA’s most serious recall level: there is a reasonable probability that using this product will cause serious harm or death.
