Why it was recalled
If the vehicle stability system is not altered, the operator may lose control of the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain Coast to Coast accessory passenger seats, manufactured November 18, 2015, to April 4, 2016, and sold for use on Can-Am Spyder F3-series motorcycles. When a passenger is sitting on the accessory seat, the seat may not activate a switch that changes the vehicle stability system to compensate for a passenger being on board.
What to do
BRP has notified owners, and dealers will modify the seat to correct the issue, free of charge. The recall began July 22, 2016. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
