Why it was recalled

A tread separation increases the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Bridgestone/Firestone North America Tire (Bridgestone) is recalling certain Firestone FR710 tires, size 205/65R16, and Champion Fuel Fighter tires, sizes 205/65R15 and 205/70R15, manufactured March 27, 2016, to April 9, 2016. These replacement passenger car tires may have been manufactured with inconsistent rubber coverage over the steel plies. As a result, the tread may separate.

What to do

All the affected tires have been contained and destroyed, therefore, an owner notification letter will not be issued for this campaign. All affected tires were returned to BATO on May 5, 2016. Owners may contact Bridgestone customer service at 1-800-847-3272.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
