Why it was recalled

A loss of air pressure may result in sudden tire failure and increase the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (CTA) is recalling certain ContiProContact tires, size 225/45R17 91H, manufactured February 22, 2015, to May 16, 2015. Due to a manufacturing error, these aftermarket replacement tires may leak air from the bead area.

What to do

CTA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected tires, free of charge. The recall began on July 31, 2015. Owners may contact CTA customer service at 1-888-799-2168.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
