Why it was recalled
A tire tread detachment can result in a tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (CTA) is recalling certain Continental TerrainContact H/T LT265/60R20 121/118R, CrossContact LX25 235/60R18 107V, CrossContact RX ContiSeal 275/40R21 107H, and General Grabber HTS 60LT245/75/R17 121/118S tires. The tires may have been produced using the wrong rubber compound, causing the tread to detach.
What to do
Dealers will inspect and replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2025. Owners may contact CTA customer service at 1-888-799-2168.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
