Belt separation can cause a sudden loss of tire air pressure and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental) is recalling certain ProContact GX AO tires, size 255/35R19. The design of the tire may cause excessive heat buildup, resulting in belt separation.

What to do

Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 18, 2024. Owners may contact Continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
