Why it was recalled
The weld joint attaching the stool seat to the center post can break, posing a fall hazard.
What was recalled
This recall involves twist swivel stools with a light brown-finish wood seat and base with four black metal legs. The stools measure 24.5 inches high in the non-extended position and 29.5 inches when fully extended. SKU number 438000 is printed on the UPC sticker attached to the underside of the stool seat.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled stool and return it to any Cost Plus World Market or World Market store for a full refund. Refunds can be used toward the purchase of a replacement stool when it becomes available.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
