A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
What was recalled
Cummins Inc. (Cummins) is recalling certain QSK50 Tier 2 Dual Fuel Engines manufactured January 15, 2013, through January 15, 2015, designed for use on oil well fracturing rigs. These dual fuel engines may operate on either diesel fuel plus gaseous fuel or diesel fuel only. The gaseous fuel inlet connection elbow for the engines may crack, causing a fuel leak during engine operation.
What to do
Cummins will notify owners, and dealers will replace the gas connection elbow and install supports, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2015. Owners may contact Cummins customer service at 1-812-377-5000.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
