What was recalled

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, and Business Class M2 vehicles. The steering shaft assembly may have been installed incorrectly, which can cause a loss of connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels.

What to do

DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the steering shaft assembly, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 16, 2018.
