If the rivet shears under occupant load, the steps may give and the occupant may fall, increasing the risk of personal injury.

What was recalled

EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, LLC (EverGreen) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Lifestyle, Bay Hill, Alpha Gold and Tesla fifth wheel recreational trailers manufactured March 11, 2014, to January 23, 2015. In the affected vehicles, a rivet for the quad entry steps may shear and fail, causing the steps to give when being used.

What to do

Evergreen will notify owners, and dealers will remove the rivets and the step sections will be bolted together, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 7, 2015. Owners may contact EverGreen customer service at 1-574-825-4298.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
