Why it was recalled

Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Transit vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-598. The rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera if equipped, may not display a rearview image when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

What to do

Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2025. Ford's number for this recall is 25S38.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
