What was recalled

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Ford Mustang superchargers with part number M-6066-M8800, that were sold as aftermarket accessory kits for 2024-2025 Mustang vehicles. The powertrain control module (PCM) may experience a software error and disable functional safety features. Deactivated safety features can fail to prevent unintended acceleration or unintended vehicle movement.

What to do

Dealers will update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA7.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
