Why it was recalled
Front turn signals that are difficult to see may not clearly indicate the driver's intentions to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 GMC Sierra EV vehicles. The front turn signal lights and parking lights may be too similar in brightness, making it difficult to see the front turn signals when they are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
What to do
Dealers will replace the headlamp multipurpose LED driver (MLD) module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 4, 2024. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 888-988-7267. GM's number for this recall is N242474560.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
