What was recalled

WASHINGTON, March 13, 2015 Grand Papas Inc., a Detroit, Mich. establishment, is recalling approximately 644 pounds of fried pork skin products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The pork rinds were produced on February 26, 2015 and packaged February 27, 2015. The following products are subject to recall: [ Labels (PDF Only)] 2 oz. bags of Grand PaPas Pork Rinds. 2 oz. bags of Grand PaPas Pork Rinds Barbecue. 2 oz. bags of Grand PaPas Pork Rinds Hot & Spicy. The products subject to recall bear the establishment number EST. 19606 inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were shipped to a retail location in Michigan. The problem was discovered during routine FSIS in-plant verification activities. FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
