A reduction in water pressure may hinder fire fighting efforts, increasing the risk of injury.

What was recalled

Hale Products Inc. (Hale) is recalling certain retaining rings, part number 077-0750-21-0, that secure the pressure relief valve in the water pumps used for fire fighting. These rings may corrode over time after exposure to water, causing the ring to fail and the pressure relief valve to open, reducing the available water pressure.

What to do

Hale will notify the affected purchasers, and dealers will install a remedy kit, free of charge. The recall began on November 20, 2017. Owners may contact Hale customer service at 1-800-533-3569. Hale's number for this recall is SB-149.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
