What was recalled

Irvine Shade & Door, Inc. (Irvine) is recalling certain Windshield Motor Shades. The motorized windshield roller shade at the driver's seating position may unroll without warning while driving.

What to do

Irvine will notify the vehicle manufacturers that purchased the shades, and dealers for those manufacturers will install a fastener to ensure the motor will not allow the shade to roll down while driving, free of charge.
