Why it was recalled
If the underlift boom tilt cylinder drifts down during towing, the vehicle that is being towed may contact the road surface, increasing the risk of the vehicle crash.
What was recalled
Jerr-Dan Corporation (Jerr-Dan) is recalling certain model year 2010 Standard Duty MPL-NGS, MPL-NG and MPL40 Wreckers manufactured August 3, 2010, through September 30, 2010. In the affected vehicles, the underlift boom tilt cylinder may drift down while a vehicle is being towed.
What to do
Jerr-Dan will notify owners and dealers will replace the underlift tilt circuit counterbalance valve, free of charge. The recall began on April 24, 2015.
