Why it was recalled
The forcible ejection of the stem may increase the risk of injury to those nearby. Additionally, the unintended release of CNG can increase the risk of a fire.
What was recalled
McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. (McNeilus) is recalling certain 2016-2018 McNeilus Meridian Front Loader, Atlantic Front Loader, XE Rear Loader, Bridgemaster Mixer, Standard Mixer, and Oshkosh S-Series vehicles, equipped with certain MPVE-250 One-Turn Valves (OTV) on the CNG fuel tanks. If the valve knob is turned more than one turn, the valve's snap ring may fail and the valve stem may forcibly eject from the valve body.
What to do
McNeilus will notify owners, and dealers will replace the valve with a valve from another brand, free of charge. The recall began January 7, 2019 . Owners may contact McNeilus customer service at 1-888-686-7278.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
