Why it was recalled

A fractured brake caliper can cause loss of brake fluid and brake pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. (MPA) is recalling certain brake calipers with part numbers BC155111 and BC155110 sold as replacement parts for 2008-2025 Ford E-450 Super Duty vehicles. The caliper piston bore wall may not meet the proper specification, causing the caliper to fracture.

What to do

MPA will work with and reimburse independent third-party installers who will inspect and replace the rear brake calipers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2026.
