Why it was recalled
Incorrect GAWR and GVWR information can result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain model year 2013 Peterbilt 367 trucks, manufactured April 18, 2012, to June 29, 2012. The affected vehicles may be equipped with a certification label that has incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR) and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
What to do
Peterbilt will notify owners, and dealers will replace the certification labels, free of charge. The recall began on September 21, 2016. Owners may contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4000. PACCAR's number for this recall is 816-D.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
