What was recalled
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain Braden Hydraulic Recovery winches, model number PD18C, sold as part numbers 05370, 05373, 05374, 05375, 05439, 05644, 06033, 06811, 06979, and 83195 by PACCAR Winches. A defective ring gear adapter might cause the winch to fail under load.
What to do
PACCAR will notify owners, and dealers will test the winches, replacing any defective ring gear adapters, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2017.
