EDITORS NOTE: This release is being reissued as the third expansion of the April 7, 2016 , recall to include additional products and production dates. The first recall 027-2016 on April 7, 2016 , recalled 40,780 pounds of fully cooked chicken nugget products. The recall expansion on April 26, 2016 recalled an additional 4,524,980 pounds of fully cooked chicken product. The second recall expansion on May 6, 2016 recalled an additional 608,764 pounds of product. The third recall expansion today recalls an additional 376,380 pounds of product. The combined number of recalled product from April 7, 2016 to May 13, 2016 is 5,550,904 pounds. WASHINGTON, May 13, 2016 Pilgrims Pride Corp., a Waco, Texas establishment, is recalling an additional 376,380 pounds of fully cooked chicken products that may have been contaminated with extraneous materials, the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The scope of this recall expansion now includes a variety of chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous metal materials. The chicken products were produced on 07/11/2015, 09/15/2015, and 09/16/2015. This release is being reissued as the third expansion of the April 7, 2016, recall to include additional products and production dates.
