Why it was recalled
The filler cap at the top of the unit can crack and allow steam to escape, posing a risk of burns to the user. In addition, the cap can pop off unexpectedly as a result of pressure buildup, posing a risk of injury to a bystander.
What was recalled
This recall involves Precision Trading Corp.'s PREMIUM® four-cup Espresso Makers manufactured in September 2014 and November 2014. The recalled units have model number PEM585 and product date code "0914" or "1114" printed on a rating label affixed to the bottom of the espresso maker. The Premium logo is printed on the bottom front of the espresso maker. Espresso makers with "2015" marked on the cap are not included in this recall.
