An improperly secured fuel tank can separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Reading Truck Equipment LLC (Reading) is recalling certain Curt trailer hitches with part numbers 15402 and 15845, installed on 2023-2024 Ford F350 and F550 vehicles. To install the hitch, the fuel tank was dropped, and the fuel tank strap fasteners were not properly tightened when the tank was re-installation.

What to do

Dealers will inspect and tighten the fuel strap fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 4, 2024. Owners may contact Reading customer service at 1-800-458-2226.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
