What was recalled
Ride The Ducks International LLC (RTDI) is recalling certain 1996-2014 Stretch Amphibious and Truck Amphibious passenger vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with 'Captain's Chair'-style driver's seats and non-retractable lap belt seat belt assemblies. The seats, seat belt assemblies and seat belt anchorage systems may not adequately secure the driver in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems", 208, "Occupant Crash Protection", 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies", and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
What to do
RTDI will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's seats and seat belt assembly, free of charge. The recall began on April 20, 2017. Owners may contact RTDI customer service at 1-417-266-7600.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
