Why it was recalled

If the hex nuts are not tightened to specification, the driveshaft may disconnect from the drive axle, resulting in a loss of propulsion and increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Rosenbauer Motors (Rosenbauer) is recalling certain model year 2015 Commander fire trucks manufactured July 28, 2014, to July 22, 2015, and equipped with drive axles manufactured by Marmon-Herrington. The affected axles may have hex nuts on the flange yoke that may not have been properly tightened.

What to do

Rosenbauer notified the owners, and dealers will check the hex nut for proper torque, tightening as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 4, 2016. Owners may contact Rosenbauer customer service at 1-651-462-1000.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
