Why it was recalled

A brake caliper with an increased air gap may prevent the parking brake from properly engaging, allowing the vehicle to rollaway and increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Blue ARC BA4L-800 vehicles. The spacer for the brake caliper may be too big, resulting in an increased air gap.

What to do

Shyft will replace the brake calipers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-17.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
