Why it was recalled
If the generator section of the trailer detaches from the tow vehicle, it could be a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
Southwest Products (Southwest) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 QP25, QP35, and QP45/50 trailer-mounted generator sets manufactured January 8, 2013, to November 30, 2016. The trailer tongue portion of the trailer may separate from the rest of the trailer body carrying the generator.
What to do
Southwest will replace the trailer assembly free of charge. The recall began on February 3, 2017. Owners may contact Southwest customer service at 1-602-269-3581.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
