Why it was recalled
The front fender bolts do not break when an object gets stuck between the front tire and the front fender/mud guard, posing fall and impact hazards.
What was recalled
This recall involves VanMoof B-Series and S-Series commuter-style bicycles manufactured between 2014 and 2016. All S series bikes have a grey anodized frame and all B series bikes have a white powder coated frame. There are - for both Series 3 frame types - a straight frame, a straight frame with an integrated chain lock, and a dropdown frame. B-Series and S-Series serial numbers are stamped on the bottom bracket of the bicycle between the pedals on the bottom of the bicycle.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact VanMoof to receive free replacement nylon bolts for the front fender and installation instruction The repair can be completed by the consumer without assistance.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
